Solar DC-DC Charger
A solar energy storage system charges a battery bank from a DC bus and returns energy to the load when the sun is not producing. The DC-DC charger in that system must handle both directions of that cycle in some installations, and must at minimum charge the bank correctly from a source whose voltage moves with sunlight and load. That moving source is what makes solar charging a DC-DC job rather than a fixed-voltage job.
The bidirectional charger series on this site states solar energy storage among its application areas, and its two-way energy flow suits a storage bank that both absorbs and returns energy. The series serves 12, 24, 36 and 48 volt lithium and AGM batteries, communicates over RS485 for system monitoring, and supports charging while the host system runs. Those are the published statements for that series, and they apply to it alone.
For a solar installation, state the bank voltage and chemistry, the bus voltage range the charger will see, and whether the bank must return energy to the load or only receive charge. Those three answers decide whether the bidirectional series or a category-level charger line is the match, and before ordering, confirm quantity, price and delivery time.
