24V and 48V Battery Charger Guide

Twenty-four volt and 48 volt battery banks serve larger systems than 12 volt banks: bigger vehicles, larger vessels, industrial equipment, and energy storage installations. The charger for such a bank must match the bank voltage exactly, manage the bank's chemistry profile, and deliver enough current to charge the bank in the time the system allows. A charger built for a smaller bank will not serve a larger one, and a charger that mismatches the chemistry will damage it.
